My top skincare tips:

In an order to achieve a flawless bridal make up look it is essentially important what you put in as much as what put on. We have all heard of the inner beauty and internal glow terms. I would like to share few skincare and bridal makeup tips that I have tried and I know they work for me and many happy past brides gave the same feedback.

bridal makeup

The cheapest and the most beneficial thing out there. Water is free! Well, almost, should I say.You can do a small test on yourself. Push you skin backwards. If you see little fine lines, then those are dehydration pockets. You can imagine a flower without watering. It is dry and not very appealing. Your skin needs everyday watering also. It plumps the skin and flushes out all the toxins. Drink as much water as you can possibly face and you skin will thank you for that. The better the skin is the better the bridal makeup will look.

Dennison Bertram-0036Boring I know.

I have met so many people over the years that drink, smoke, party hard, work hard, use sunbeds, you name it in excess and think that get away with it.Let me break the news to you:” it will eventually catch up with you”. Enjoy your life but everything in moderation. My advice is try to get little bit of exercise maybe on fresh air, eat healthy diet with lots nuts (they do miracles for hair, skin and nails) and try to get some sleep and relax little bit.

Dennison Bertram-0135Wipes are not cleansers. Your skin might look clean but leave a nasty residue on your skin.

In my opinion you don’t have to cleanse your skin in the morning. Wash it with some ice cold water, it will wake you up and shrink opened pores.
On the other hand you definitely have to cleanse your skin in the
evening. Your skin regenerates at night and in order to do so it needs to be squeaky clean.

My top Cleansers for everyday or preparation for a bridal makeup:
1.Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil- expensive but little goes a long way
2.Clinique Take the day off
3. Simple Eye makeup removal – great for brides on the budget

Dennison Bertram-0065A cabinet filled with jars, bottles and tubes doesn’t guarantee a great skin.
a; they need to be targeted properly, right product for the right skin type
b; they need to be used on regular basis

My top moisturisers any day or a base for a bridal makeup:

1.Laura Mercier Mega moisturiser for dry skin
2.Ornic Placenta Anti Wrinkle cream (online)-it is #1 moisturiser in Thailand, there is a reason for it, it is amazing!!!
3. Estee Lauder Daywear- smells like a cucumber, gorgeous
4. Bobbi Brown Oil free Lotion-great for oily skin

Eye cream

Skin around the eyes is much thinner than anywhere else, think baby bottom. The eye creams are generally very similar to face creams only the molecules are much smaller that they can penetrate around the eye area. Apply with a ring finger on your eye bone. Application close to the eye will make the eyes water.
Try before you buy!
Go to makeup counters and ask for sample. Skin around the eyes can be very sensitive, you want to try it for at least three continuous days.

Bridal makeup is not proper without under eye concealer. Concealer will not sit properly (it will look dry or it will crease) if the eye area is neglected or dehydrated.

My top Eye creams for everyday or preparation for a bridal makeup:

1. Estee Lauder Advanced Eye repair serum
2. Bobbi Brown hydrating eye cream

Don’t overdo it. Once or twice a week is enough.
Make sure that you look at ingredients. High content of salicylic acid and clay might be good for oily skin, but will strip dry skin completely.

My top Exfoliators for everyday or preparation for a bridal makeup:

1.Laura Mercier Face polish
2.Estee Lauder Idealist- Heats up, it is like a DIY microdermabrasion
3.Clinique Body sparkle exfoliating cream- great for body
4.Origins Ginger body scrub

Add on TLC to your skin.
There is a huge selection on the market and it can be quite confusing.
Get one to target a specific concern of yours or if you don’t have any, lucky you!!! Go for a general one. It is like an investment in future of your skin.

A serum generally works better at night and always works with a moisturiser or night cream as it delivers the benefits of your cream deeper into your skin. Serum needs to be applied before your moisturiser.

My top Serums for everyday or preparation for a bridal makeup:

1.Estee Lauder Advanced repair serum
2.Sisley Radiant glow express mask
3.Manuka Doctor Bee venom Serum- Botox in the tube

Bridal Makeup Summary

If you feel that to do all above is too much of a hard work, facials now and again are always a good idea. Just don’t leave it until the last minute.
DON’T try new product or facial that you never had before closer than 2-3 weeks prior to your wedding day. You don’t want to risk an allergic reaction or a break out.

But don’t forget that make up helps big time and do not forget to read my bridal makeup tips.
